The presentation will discuss the recent legal developments regarding the distinction between an employee and independent contractor arising out of the California Supreme Court decision Dynamex v. Superior Court and California Assembly Bill 5 (2019), known as the ABC test. Additional time will be spent discussing the ABC test exception for those in the construction industry.
